Interesting 1971 Topps Expos team card; can you read what's on that electronic scoreboard?

Can you read the word EXPOS on this scoreboard?

I just thought it was an interesting card/picture and it shows how they had to "make do" with the rather crude electronic scoreboard technology of the day.

They weren't making due, that was pretty high tech in 1971. Making due would be using that 1971 technology today, when much better scoreboard graphics are available.

yeah, at that time, a dollar store pocket calculator was as big as a car and probably cost more too....

I remember my dad buying a small calculator at Sears around 1976-77 for around $75 and all it did was add, subtract, multiply, and divide......no they are in the dollar bins everywhere and do a lot more!!

Oh, Jarry Park! That was pretty state of the art in 1970-71. It even had animation, so to speak. The strangest thing was the pool behind the scoreboard in rightfield.

Is it just me, or did Jarry Park look awfully tiny for a major league park?
