OT: New eBayer bidding on my item

I have a DVD box set for sale currently. Today the top bidder is someone who opened their account TODAY. Currently the auction is around where it will probably end at (meaning this new account will probably win). How would you all handle this situation?
I'm building a 1968 and a 1970 Topps set. I have lots of 1970s and 1960s to offer in trade.

I personally wouldn't worry about a new account, yours was new too until you built up some feedback, as was mine and everyone else on ebay. Not trying to be a rear, just saying to give them a chance, we all have to start somewhere.

Everyone starts somewhere, I would handle it just like any other Ebay transaction, send invoice after the auction, and wait and see what happens. JMO

I would sell it to the winner.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

Everybody here had ZERO FB, at some point.

Newbies who want to learn how EBAY works are some of the best buyers.

"Newbies" who open new accounts so they can steal, not so good.

Make sure you DC or SC anything you ship to newbies.

I sold Sharks playoff tickets to two buyers with zero feedback. Both paid quickly with no issues.

just hope for a second new ebay member to get into a bidding war with your current new ebay member. new ebay members are good, two new ones bidding on your auction are even better.
  • Yeah shouldn't be a big deal.

when you send him the invoice, tell him you are honored to be his first purchase and offer to help him figure it out if he needs it

  • Newbies in general are better than veteran Ebayers I have filed more UPIs against buyers with over 100 FB than less than 10.
