I certainly look at it when it says the Corner has something I need in my registry...but I buy from you on eBay anyway so you wouldn't be getting additional sales from me - always keep me in mind for those Fisks!!!
I don't ever use the Collectors Corner....although I use to write a column titled such.
Mark
PS: I have purchased from you a dozen or so times.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
I would buy cards from the Collectors Corner, but as others have stated, it seems like only one dealer has posted his inventory there and he has notoriously high prices. If prices were fair, I'd be happy to purchase from CC rather than eBay.

Same here, I just went to check my set registery and what this Collectors Corner was all about and there is only one dealer showing.
i have looked at it many times, kind of waiting for the word to spread and hopefully get some competition there to have more choices.overall i like the idea of it. too soon to tell if it will pan out

Yes Hank, we are working on bringing more dealers online with their inventory. This should help create more price competition. Keep in mind that the site only added PSA graded cards a little over 1 month ago. What we are working towards,is a site that will have something to offer for any collector. A site where collectors will feel comfortable in doing business with authorized dealers, ones that are in the business. All dealers that list items for sale, must be Collectors Corner approved. Because we only have 12-13 dealers participating right now, the price competition is not there, but that should not stop any buyer from making a counter offer. There is an online form for each buyer to do so.. There is also a "Wish List" feature on the site where a collector can define a specific search for what he or she might be looking for, this search can also define a price range. Every evening we scrub the data lookinmg for any listings that will match your "Wishes" and notify you via email with the items available, thus saving you time from watching the site every day.
These are just a few of the features available. If anyone has any questions about Collectors Corner, please contact me. Info is in my profile.
Back on topic though, I would like it if the Collectors Corner allowed us average joes to sell cards too . . . as an alternative to selling on eBay. >>

There should be an apostrophe between the e and s in "someones."

I originally put in an apostrophe but I though it was wrong. I though Someone's would be for Someone's selling fake cards. And Someones would be for He is selling someones fake cards.
You might be right, Roger. I just thought that in this case the grammar being corrected belonged to someone and that made it a possesion . . . Roger's grammar, for example. Highchopper, you're the English Teacher, what say you?
It's amazing that sometimes members of this board focus on grammar along with sentence structure more then card collecting. I guess there are individuals that insist on trying to make themselves look smart. We've had too many threads divert towards this garbage recently and the difference between this board and Beckett is narrowing. Why can't we just stick with the topic? Now I know some of you guys like pick at each but there are others that insist on disrupting a thread by consulting the English books.
<< <i>Sooner- but what do you think of the Collectors Corner ? Your post didn't mention it . . . you just went on and on about grammar.
(I'm just messin' with you! ) >>
You caught that did ya? My focus is primarily on the master set I'm trying to finish so as of right now it's not really an asset to my needs. But in the near future I will be making an attempt of a master set consisting of the 2005 Topps Cracker Jack baseball set. Maybe I'll be able to utilize it then. I can always use another website that sells cards besides Naxcom, Beckett Marketplace or Ebay. We should make a list of all of the available websites that cards can be bought off of. It sucks that Bidville is going under because after I discovered them I was buying some cards that were priced reasonably that I had never seen on the other three sites.
<< <i>Shouldn't Collectors Corner have an apostrophe in it? >>
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it could have an apostrophe but that would imply that we, the collectors, have possession of the corner. The fact that it doesn't have an apostrophe (just like Collectors Universe) implies that it is more like a corner where collectors can gather. I think in this case it's appropriate that it doesn't have an apostrophe because (so far) it doesn't seem like a Collector's Corner, but more like Levi's Corner.

All you can say to those people is ... "How's the weather up there... On your pedestal"

I used to teach English! Don't yet have brassy enough balls to edit message boards, though.

It's sad that nowadays, more people spell it with an E than an I.
How does everyone collectively forget how to spell a word?
