1994 Finest FB Refractor Question.....

I don't do alot of modern cards anymore, but I really like the 1994 Finest Football set. I've decided to put the refractor set together as a lengthy side project. I just bought an unopened box and got three refractors. My question is this: there seems to be an annoying film glazed over them, almost like it is from moisture. I have some other ones that I bought as singles on ebay and they do not have this sticky film on them. I want to get them graded, but can't seem to wipe the film off. Maybe try laying them in front of a fan for awhile? Any help would be appreciated! Also, if anyone has any lots of the refractors they would like to get rid of, please pm me.......

I know what you are talking about. A lot of the early finest cards had that hazy film on them. I think the 93-94 basketball cards were the worst. I never figured out how to get rid of it either. I just polished them with a soft cloth the best I could.

Are the '94 football cards the ones with the blue background? I think I might have a refractor or two laying around from that set if you're interested.
  • Thanks for replying....yes, they are the ones with the light blue background. It's the first Finest release for football and I think they are very nice! Let me know what you have and shoot me a pm!
    Thanks,
