Would this Tom Seaver rookie get at least a 5? (Old BVG grade just posted)

Top right corner has some wear of the paper that's hard to see in the scan but its there, no creases, the rest of the attributes you can see, centering, a couple printers flaws etc. Would this get a 5 you think? Of course I'm going to have it signed first at the upcoming HOF show in July and then I'll send it off to PSA when I get it back. I"m going to have to decide between getting them graded with PSA/DNA certification or just simply getting them AUTH with PSA/DNA authentication. I'm considering getting the ones that I think will grade at least a 5, graded and the others just have AUTH.

I just cracked this Seaver out of a BVG case before I scanned it and I'll post that grade later, just wanted to get some opinions first on what you think PSA would grade it.

What do you think this Seaver rookie would grade?

If you compare it to Nick's Jerry west rookie, a 5 is a LOCK!

A lock for a 5 if there are no creases. Superior centering will get you a 6 on this card, IMO.

Wow, I am looking for a PSA 5 or 5.5 Seaver and I would be thrilled with one that looked like that! Very nice.

    5.5 or 6

  • 4.5, 5 or 5.5 would be appropriate depending on the sobriety of the grader.

Nice card! I predict exactly a 5. If it was a 33 Goudey a 6 with that centering.

Tough grade. Always difficult to tell a card's true condition from a scan, though. Still think you're a lock for a 5.
