Somewhat interesting auction ending results - same card, same night - PSA 6, 6.5, 7

I was watching these three 1962 Topps Hank Aaron's. Interesting results given the grades and the fact that they all ended so close to each other (timewise) . May just be the centering of the 6, but not much $ variation for the grade differential. Maybe people are actually buying the card and not the holder. Who knows?
Nothing earth shattering, but interesting.
PSA 6 - sold for $103 delivered. Seller has 100% positive feedback of 359.

PSA 6.5 - sold for $98 delivered. Seller has 99.8% positive feedback of 32,000+

PSA 7 - sold for $119.45 delivered. Seller has 100% positive feedback of 140.

<< <i>Maybe the 6.5 got penalized for a good scan showing flaws? >>
That is an excellent point. Kudos to the seller for giving potential buyers a good look at the card.
FWIW, the seller who put up the big scan that showed the flaws was Steve Hart.

Awesome point. I believe its happened to me as well when I was selling off a vintage fishing lure collection last year. I had lures that I know undersold compared to others. My listings all had many very high quality and large images and the others had poor photosand smaller sizes. I guess I would rather make a little less and have a happy buyer than the other way around.
Also interesting hearing that the psa 6 with a poor scan was more desirable than the 6.5. I understand not wanting the 6.5 but the 6 scan is poor quality. It guess you guys have some killer eyes.

<< <i> Nah -- we probably both view centering as the most important aspect. Don't need killer eyes to pick the best centered example. >>
Thanks and I understand, I just felt the 6 had much worse lower corners compared to the centering issue on 6.5 card, but I totally understand and respect preference. Just for fun here are the 2 cards side by side with a downsize on the 6.5 card...As you mentioned the 6 card is certainly centered nicer. Thanks for the input.
