PayPal/eBay question

I just paid for a card from an eBay purchase using PayPal and my credit card. As soon as I finished paying I remembered Discover just sent me a new card with a different account number - but the Discover account number in my PayPal account is the old one.

Would you contact PayPal (I was on hold forever and hung up), Discover, or wait and see what happens? Only a $26 card.

    Discover also recently changed my number. I called them to ask when would be a good time to activate the new card. They told me that even after activating the new number, the old one would remain active for 45 days.
