Actually, there's a good one in Laurel, MD which is about a 30 minute drive south called Sportscard Heroes. They have a lot of stuff and don't grade much so you can find some decent buys.

  • Try Baseball Card Outlet right off 95 on Eastern Ave. decent shop with usually a lot of decent stuff. Lots of vintage singles and modern wax.

Lee, is Attmans Deli still in business? Sorry to go off-topic.

70chip is right, Baseball Card Outlet is not bad but I doubt you will find much to buy. Most of the vintage is Ex-MT or worse and the only wax they have is from the past 5 years. They're only a mile down the road from me so I guess I'm burnt out on them, but they seem to run a decent shop.

rajah, Attman's is most definitely still in business and I recommend that anybody who comes to Baltimore go there and get some type of corned beef sandwich. Also, you will want to avoid Phillips' Seafood as it's a tourist trap with low quality seafood that is greatly overpriced. Besides that, there's not a whole lot else to do in Baltimore. The Inner Harbor is fun for about 2 hours, but that's about it.

Attmans has great pastrami also. I fell victim to Phillips buffett in Ocean City last Dec. Horrible food, total waste of money. You would think someplace 50 yards from the ocean would have fresh seafood.
  • Agree with Lee on the condition of vintage at Baseball Card Outlet and they know it too. Damn, Lee where the hell do you live? Only a mile from Eastern Ave? I certainly hope you are not a Balmore Hon or living in Dundalk LOL unless you have a hot sister or 2.......I am up in the Parkville area near The Barn and Firehouse assuming you know those places. Come on up for a Natty Boh sometimes image

Contrary to popular belief, there isn't that much seafood coming out of MD. Most of our restaurants get their crabs come from the Carolina's, Texas, or Louisiana, and the seafood comes in frozen from the big US food distributors.
  • Forgot to add, stay away from Phillips, Lee hit it right on the head. Just disgusting food and not worth it. Lots of other decent places to eat. Try little Italy, lots of VERY good places there. HINT HINT

And get a cannoli from Vacarros, you won't regret it.......

I'm actually just off Eastern Ave right past the JH Bayview hospital. Dangerously close to the borders of both Dundalk and Essex, but thankfully my address is still considered Baltimore.

phillips is definitely not a problem...i don't do seafood. image

Especially with the restrictions on crabs that we are dealing with due to over harvesting. MD is trying to get the crab population back up and nothing beats a true Maryland crab. They are the damn best in the world.

Lee, damn dude you are a Bmore hon!!!!! Close to Dundalk and Essex OMG, but the shemales down there are the best!!! and the rates are reasonable

Nothing like a stroll through Patterson Park at 3am. And yes, a true Maryland crab is just baout the best thing you can possibly eat. Too bad there are only 3 left.

Lee, are you familiar with Dinardis' in Wilmington. I think they closed but the one time i ate there it was pretty good.
  • No mo blue crab.

Go see Ruth's house by Camden Yards.
There's a hole in my head where the rain comes in.
  • Patterson Park at 3am, it has everything a guy is looking for......The best spent $20 in a long time. Now I am getting hungry thinking about MD crabs....YUM

Me too chip. I just convinced the wife to go out tonight for crabs. Our new hangout is Canton Dockside on Boston Street in the 1st Mariner Bank building; highly recommended, and they have fresh MD Silverqueen corn.

rajah, don't get out to Delaware too often.

what a game!!! 9 home runs, rain delay, extra innings, home team wins it on last at bat...very exciting.

ended up scalping 2 tickets for the price of 1 in club level so i had shelter during the rain. i took lots of pics.

    Thanks,
