I quit selling and collecting sportcards in 1995 mostly because of the players strike along with all of the dumb stuff going on in the hobby at the time. I dumped all of my sportcards and forgot about them for awhile except for WWE and WCW cards. I started paying attention again mostly due to the nimrods at shop at home. I would buy packs here and there but until 2003 when I finally got online my card buying was pretty sparse at best. I still bought wrasslin stuff but due to ebay I found stuff I had never found at shows in the 80's and 90's i.e. errors and stuff like that. This in turn got me buying other stuff. I still continued buying buying buying with no real focus. I sold on ebay but mostly non card items which in turn allowed me to BUY MORE CARDS!!!!!. In other words I bought a bunch of junk and lost my FOCUS. So, I decided to dump all the junk again. Since Feb. I have been sorting and looking at my cards-basically seperating the WHEAT from the chaff. Today I set up at the local flea market and I DUMPED the CHAFF!!! Some guy who sets up at another flea market wanted to buy all of my REDS cards from my dollar box and asked me for a price. I told him the cards were a buck each but if he took them all I would give a mass discount. Then he asked me what I wanted for all of the cards in the dollar boxes. I said there are about 1400 cards all in toploaders.........so I said 140 -a dime each. He pulls out a 100 and asks how about 100. I said yes! Then he started looking at my other stuff asking me how about this........ect ect. At this point I was trying to keep cool and I told him there is about 1200 RETAIL value here hee hee which was true according to guide hee hee so I said I will go half for EVERYTHING and he came back by pulling 3 out more 100's and said will you take 400 for everything? Using my POKERFACE I said yes so now I have 400 bucks to buy more stuff!
