Just another ebay minor headache thread

Eleven days ago I purchased a card BIN from a power seller with an over 99% FB. The seller is less than 200 miles away and I have yet to receive the card. Last Sat. I sent a message through ebay asking for the status and he replied with sorry, I'll ship it Monday (19th). Even though it's usually a 2 day mail-time from here to there, I waited until the mail came today before contacting him again, he hasn't replied yet(it's only been a few hours, no big deal there). I informed him I had yet to receive my item and I was not happy with the delay and if he still had the item in-hand I would prefer that he just refund me and cancel the transaction. I also told him I will open a dispute tomorrow unless he provides a reasonable explanation as to why I shouldn't. I've never had to go down this road so I don't know what to expect. So I'm hoping someone can let me know if there is anything special I need to do. Will I have to file a dispute w/ ebay and paypal? I hope he comes through with something I can believe and I don't have to do anything, but I'm skeptical at this point.

Thanks in advance, Rob

Feel free to tell me if I'm overreacting, or that I'm just simple.

I have a card I won, paid the next day on May 12th, it has been 10 days still know card, sent them a message a couple days ago asking if it had been sent, no response. Based on the dates of feedback left in relation to when the items were won, it appears that he is a very slow shipper!!

    Probably the same guy
  • I had an item I shipped Priority on May 5th arrive 150 miles away yesterday. Its been pretty common recently for items to take that long.

If he replies that it's in transit, I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer. I send or receive stuff 3-4 days per week and haven't had any problems with slow delivery from USPS or UPS. How long do I have to open a dispute?

Mail has slowed down because of the new rate hike. It's taking a little longer for items to go through because they are checking for
extra postage that might be due right now.

I just got a card on Ebay from bbman56. I paid on Sunday the 19th and received it on Wednesday the 22nd (and I definitely left postive feedback for speed. That was from Michigan to North Dakota, so I would think 200 miles would be a lot faster.

I have had no problem with the postal service as of late, I ship the day after payment is made and my items get to
the buyers within 3 to 5 days, 2 to 3 days if I use priority.

I have shipped 100 items over the past 30 days.
