Sounds like you have a great weekend planned. It is nice you take some time to remember those made the ulitmate sacrifice. I always have a small family get together on Monday. I cook hot dogs, hamburgers and we have salads. It is pretty nice. I plan on getting some yard work done this weekend and enjoying my kids and the nice weather. Fortunately, I will be off until Thursday. I will also be having my new 52" LCD TV delivered on Saturday, which is VERY exciting!!!!
Happy Memorial Day everyone!!!
Yes, a good time to remember the true American heroes who gave all.
Hoarding silver and collecting history
For me? Recording some music tonight, nothing tomorrow, grilling and putting a fence up at my mom's Sun., and relaxing on Monday. My son's first b-day party (70+ people) is next weekend, so that's when all hell will be breaking loose, lol.

My favorite pic - from 1966 - on my way to basic training - not everyone is with us today - but they'll "always" be remembered in my heart.
We're all in this together - and for that - we're all patriots.
All my best on this Memorial Day Weekend.

Looks like some wear on that lower right corner - I'd grade it about a 5 in EX condition.
But I give all the men and women who serve and have served in our Armed Forces a definite 10. THANK YOU!
I was in the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam from 1969-1970. All in all I had it pretty good. Some guys who were barely into their 20s looked like they'd been in a bad place for a long time. These guys had been in the bush or assigned to some obscure piece of dirt light-years from home.
Got transferred to Saigon after 7 months in the Division. Sadest part was sometimes seeing those gray boxes being loaded at the airport. Hard thing to describe. How nice it was to see the coastline of California again!
If you were there..."welcome home"!!!
So, between the beer, brats and family, take a moment to remember those that didn't come home.
Some gave all, all gave some.
Best to all -

Yupp, As unbelievable as it sounds it still does , as a matter of fact , Cardboard Memories which used to be in E. Northport Long Island opened up a HUGE new shop in Commack Wide screen TV's and the whole 9 !
Yesterday we went to the Air show at Jones Beach I took my Cannon camera with the 300mm lense so I could get right up close , even though I took most of my pics from the shore where the planes were flying , some I think I might have gotten too close but I will post some of the most amazing pics as soon as I get the film developed .
The Blue Angels were there , they did some in flight refueling , they had the old airplanes, like the B-17, B-29 , they had the P-51 Mustangs , the P-40 and the most amazing stunt planes putting on some rediculous acts .
For me the highlight of the show was when the F-22, our newest fighter plane came flying though and all I got to say is , I had no idea an airplane could move the way this plane did , I ran out of film and I did not get any shots of the F-22, so we are going back today , I don't live all that far from Jones Beach so it's just a hop , skip and a Jump , they also have a lot of the war machines on the beach , a lot of the weapons you can take pics with even a real flight simulator , that I just could not get enough of , I think I flew it 8 times
When you see these planes in action , you know why we always have air superiority within minutes .
God Bless our Troops Now and the ones who came before .
