1983 Fritsch Jose Canseco

Won this on my 40th birthday (May 08).

Was having a cruddy day (not because of turning 40) and had been looking for this card on eBay from time to time as I had won a partial team set lacking the Canseco awhile back for .99 and now I can stop looking to add this card to my collection. And I didn't have the McGwire so that was an added bonus for me.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
<< <i>You outbid me! I was bidding on the card as well. Great card. Glad to see that if I didn't win, it went to a follow board member! >>
Had been searching for one for awhile and hadn't even thought about a graded one but spotted the auction and figured I'd give it a shot. Threw in a bid at the last few seconds and crossed my fingers.
I'll scan the rest of the set I have tomorrow (don't want to wake anyone tonight) if anyone is interested in seeing the other cards in the team set.
Edited to add:
Thanks SoonerCowboy. Some days I feel 80.

thought you were 80......
<< <i>Happy birthday and congratulations on the acquisition. I've never been much of a Canseco fan, but that is a very cool card. >>
Thanks Brett.
Was never really a fan either but he sure was on fire once upon a time. I even remember selling his 1986 Donruss card for $100. Bet that guy wishes he hadn't bought it.
But that's what makes collecting and not investing fun. Lots of people thought this guys cards were never going to stop going up but people forget that these heroes are only human and they make just as many bad decisions and mistakes like the rest of us do in our lives. Only difference is that when they do their dirty laundry is made public for all to see and to judge. Personally I don't judge him (or anyone else that has made mistakes) as it's not my place to do so. Yes they should know better but I haven't walked in their shoes so I don't know why they do what they do but then I never look at them as heroes anyway as there are many others in this world to look at as heroes and to admire and respect them for the jobs and services they do.
So for anyone that would like to see the rest of the set here they are.
