Another Sweet Ebay Find....Need some info...

I'm pretty excited about this one, but I don't know too much about it. If anyone could help with some info that would be awesome.

All I know is that it's a Sweet Caporal pin. The guys name is McIntyre and I believe he played for the White Sox. The pictures are from the auction and are not mine. So, I'm sure I'll post some better pics once I receive the item.
Any info?

According to Beckett, there are 2 variations of this pin. But, there's not information on how to tell the difference between the two.

    On your lapel.

Edited to add: You have the Matty McIntyre small letters variation.
  • 1910 Sweet Caporal Pins - Matty Mcintyre (has 2 versions, small and large letters, not sure which your is) PSA pop shows total of only 42 graded. Very Nice Pin!

Name says I have the small letters variation. Not sure if that is "a" or "b". Either way, it is a cool pin. And, you know, I might just wear it on my suit to church one sunday once i get it.
If I didn't want to get it graded, are there hard plastic cases that are around to display these things?

The small letters is the cheaper variation. I think it's "a" in most catalogs. By way of comparison, PSA 6 commons usually go for 20-35 dollars, PSA 7 commons for 35-55 dollars, and PSA 8 commons for 50 dollars and up. Graded populations vary widely on these, which accounts for much of the price difference. It's a great set for picking up HOFers cheaply too.

    Very cool pin.

I considered collecting the SC pins but there's just so much any one individual can tackle on a budget.

    Congratulations Guru!

Just keep it in the coin holder its in now. Thats the way all my pins are stored.

P2 pins are underrated IMO, they are old (nearly 100 years) and attractive. One of my favorite pin sets. Nice pick up.
