Ebay # 200225062737-- Alert.

What's going on with this card PSA 8 1958 Mantle. Unless my picture on the monitor is messed up this looks like a scam. Fantastic feedback, but no way. Can someone post a link.

"You have good feedback - why risk it by selling this trimmed mantle? Did you switch it or was it like that when you got it? The right side of the holder has been opened and the borders are much smaller than they should be. "

<< <i>I sent him this message, wonder if he'll respond.

As has been noted before:
When a legit seller gets one of those queries, his/her ONLY smart-play
is to pull the listing and get to the bottom of the issue.
Edited to add monday morning response - doesn't sound quite so good.

before i go any further i am making a trip into portland with the card and having it examined by a friend who is an expert on these type of situations. if the card has been cracked for sure he will know in about 10 seconds. thanks again, wade.

I remember Plifter being heartbroken at a possibly trimmed card for $3000. Can't imagine finding out I bought a fake card for $1800.
One day one of these scammers is going to burn the wrong guy and get killed over it. There's a lot of psychos out there.

<<<took the card in and had it looked at very closly. verdict is, card fits in holder as should, borders are lighter because of the way card was cut, the card measures up and the foggy or cloudy right could very well be because of the way glu dried. the original owner offered a complete refund as well, so i have no difficulty re-selling this card. thanks, wade.

I wish somebody knew rosie7495 and could suggest maybe sending it in for a bump. Wonder how that would work out.
