Do PSA and SGC sell for about the same?

Just curious as to the concensus of the board...
I know SGC is popular for prewar, but what about postwar?
For example does PSA sell for consistently higher for a 1941 Ted WIlliams?
If you had a SGC 84 1941 Ted Williams would you pay to see if it would cross over to the same grade as PSA?

<< <i>The better card with better centering will typically sell for more. For me on the '41s I like to have as little toning as possible. SGC and PSA don't seem to downgrade much for toning. >>
My question is for the same card, do you believe it would sell for about the same price (ie, do you believe it is worth a cross grade from sgc to psa), or does anyone think that PSA will typically sell for more than the same card graded as an SGC?
<< <i>VCP is worth the $10 a month. >>
I am hoping to find the answer without spending $10/month, but thanks for your tip.
Perhaps PSA could use VCP service to update their SMR though.
<< <i>There is no 100% correct answer to your question. Sometimes yes and sometimes no. I think they both are great and don't care which holder they are in. It all depends on who is buying it, what card it is and how bad they want it. PSA has the lead on your question due to sheer volume and the set registry lead. SGC in my opinion will be equal someday. I just can't predict when that is. I'll PM my address to you to send me the $10.
THanks, I can see how registry collectors may help edge out SGC prices, which would make sense that they may consistently sell for more. I think I will send my card in to PSA for cross grade attempt since I am putting an order together for them anyway.
Thanks for your opinion.
