    I don't think it said it was a bet, but I kinda thought it migh be as it was a strange amount for Griffey to owe him. Other than bets the only time players give each other money is for steroids haha. Tejada was dumb enough to write his teammates checks for that stuff too.

    griffey is a class act, very funny, almost 600 HR and still plays like a kid, that is a very appropriate nick name.

    i can't see bonds or clemens doing something like that.

    Speaking of NASCAR, in 1997 driver Rusty Wallace paid a $5,000 fine to the sanctioning body in pennies.
