Anyone pick up any 2008 Bowman yet?

Think I'll grab a box or 2 after work today.

I wanna rip something.

  • I am going to Longview today might pick up a box of something there.
  • We got them where I work yesterday. They look nice. They have jumbo boxes with an auto sitting as the box topper when you open it in a hard sleeve.

Zep, be sure to post pictures of the Moustakas and Vitters Superfractor when you pull them!

I got two hobby boxes yesterday from a brand new case and got the same auto in both boxes, whee...

Holy cow! There are already 3,000+ auctions on eBay for 2008 Bowman.

    When did this come out?

Nothing very good out of the hobby box. Nice clean design for the base cards and the prospects set looks cool too.

The 1 auto was Kevin Ahrens (on card - right on the chrome - which is pretty cool)

    5 numbered cards

    Maddux blue 072/500
    Luke Montz blue 025/500
    Jake Renshaw orange 212/250
    Engel Beltre ref 427/599
    Daniel Cortes x-ref 217/275

there's 1 gold parallel in every pack.

The guy that makes $7 an hour can do the base set and prospect set.
The guy that makes $8 an hour can do the base, prospect and chrome set
The guy that makes $9 an hour can do the base, prospect, chrome and blue set
The guy that makes $10 an hour can do the base, prospect, chrome, blue and ......

Jumbos have 3 autos per. The chromes are a nice touch this year for bowman, but again they are just
    rehashed 07 "rookies".

Well unless the box topper auto doesn't count, I got an extra autograph in the jumbo box.

haven't heard of any of these guys yet though

I just picked up a few packs as a test - It's a better set than last year. No autos, but I may pick up a jumbo and a hobby this weekend and do the set.

Agreed, and I do not like mixing of regular and chrome versions. They use to just be seperate at one time.

I probably won't rip any of this but there are definitely some names I like in the product.

Jason Heyward's first autograph, David Price's first Bowman auto, a Brandon Jones auto, and some other's that I'm forgetting right now. I doubt I'll buy any though since I've met them all and have them all on baseballs.
  • I bought a box yesterday and am finally getting around to posting them. I think I did pretty good with the Autos. The topper was Wil Inman, but I have misplaced him for the moment. The Bell is the refractor, just wish it was the Moustakas that was..
