Ending an auction early for LESS money?!?!!?

A few times, I've found emails in my inbox from ebayers asking me to end an auction early to sell the item to them. However, in these cases, the ammount they're offering is LESS than the active high bid on the item! Usually not by a lot, but still, what are they thinking?

"Hey, I'll give you $15 in COLD, HARD CASH for that $20 bill you've got there!"

  • The only reason I can think of for a seller wanting to end an item early is if they are in the middle of a bitter battle with a disgruntled buyer. I had a guy threaten to "create hell" for me but having phantom accounts purchase all my listed items. I can see a weaker seller wanting to do damage control to prevent the headache.

If you block him and you can prove he has created accounts to get around you blocks he will be suspended and any feedback he leaves can be removed.

Wow... most of mine is room temp. and flacid. Sounds like some rare cash to me... might to worth more than regular cash.
