The boards have become inundated with completely meaningless threads which in no way help the collecting community. At least 4 people have made some type of poker threads today and this forum is starting to look like the Pokerstars boards. I'd hate for that to happen, but if every other thread is something like "Who was the greatest poker player from 1964-1972", "Is anybody collecting Rocky movies", or "What's your favorite color" then these boards are in a lot of trouble................imageimage

    Rocky moves or Rocky movies?

    I have all the Rocky movies on VHS, DVD, Special Edition, whatever, 1979 and 1983 Topps Rocky Card and Sticker sets too!!!
    Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

    Pretty much all the threads I start are stupid, but I only start like 1 or 2 a week so it's ok. My favorite color is blue by the way.

    And Amarillo Slim, Johnny Moss and Doyle Brunson are probably the best poker players from that era ;-)

    I have heard of that Doyle Brunson guy, besides they did make trading cards of poker players.

    my favorite color is Purple, my favorite movie is The Empire Strikes Back and I enjoyed all the Rocky movies except the 5th one which should be burned.

    Blue here, which is scary since it's also CDsNUTS favorite color. Hopefully he was just making it up like usual.

    Don't have a favorite color. I detest ALL the Rocky movies.
    Used to play hold'em full time but got bored with it and quit a long time ago.

    Enjoy reading about sports cards.
    Many of the other topics are fun and if I find one that doesn't interest me, I just skip it ...

    wolf- good point you made. When you play 80 hours of poker a week it becomes monotonous and you get to a point where you've seen every possible combination of hands and nothing gets your attention any more. People think it's just as fun as when you play once a week in a home game, and it's anything but. That's why I mix it up and play tourneys every now and then; not because I think it's profitable, but at least the juices start to flow again when you start to hit the late stages. It keeps poker somewhat fresh to change your routine. To give an analogy (this is for you steveidoobie), it would be like being a bouncer at a strip club. At some point the novelty of seeing nice breasts every day would wear off.

    Never seen a Rocky or Star Wars movie all the way to the end.

    The only thing I know about poker is Lee plays tournaments with the other residents at the group home on Saturdays. He makes it sound fun.

    Favorite color is green. Not any green though, just certain shades.

    I thought the first few Rocky movies were great, I cannot stand internet Poker, my favorite color is Aqua.

    And like someone else said I only respond or read threads that interest me.
