I think I am paranoid because of the $1000

I am probably just being paranoid, but I won a large lot ($1100) back on 4/17 from a UK seller with over 450 feedback and have yet to receive my cards. I know its not even 3 weeks yet, but I have received other cards from the UK that I won on the 28th of April. I sent 2 emails requesting shipping info. without getting any response before they finally responded to a 3rd, slightly more desperate, email. Apparently, they were out of town and did not get previous emails, but he assured me of proper posting and recording and that I should receive in a few days.

I don't have any real reason to expect a problem - active seller, with several sales/positive feedback from different buyers during April, and the aforementioned feedback

I paid via paypal. Worst case scenario - no cards and the seller goes "naru" what if any recourse do I have? When would you file a claim with paypal if you still haven't received the cards.

    i would start a dispute with paypal. it will help you get a response from the seller...

    I think you will be fine.. the fact he responded shows good faith...
    over seas is going to take a while.. hell canada takes 3 weeks

    I have sent a lot overseas lately and the time varies a ton. I have had people get theres in 3 days and others have been 5 weeks and I sent them the same day. I think a lot has to do with customs because they can slow things down a ton. I got a neutral feeback from an italy shipment, I email the buyer the post office proof you get when you mail something overseas which listed where it was going, the weight and the day sent, the package arrived 5 weeks later and must have been opened by customs but as I told the buyer what could I have done different and was a bit upset as I had no control and he did in fact get everything and in the condition he ordered it? I even started ordering 3rd party insurance for overseas mail to cover if things didnt show up. I used this company- http://www.dsiinsurance.com/Default.asp?

    I purchased a card from UK earlier this year and it took over 30 days for arrival! I would give it a little longer.

    I know. It's not really the 19 days that has me concerned, its the $1100.

    I agree as well that all will be good since he responded to you. Im getting steamed myself after not hearing a thing after a purchase on 4/19 and zero replies after 2 emails!

    I've purchased two lots on ebay from overseas sellers in the past. One lot was from England - took two days - I'm not kidding. And one lot was from France, took about 3 - 4 days. The "excuses" from these overseas sellers is BS. International mail from the UK and most of Europe is normally dependable.

    Depending on the service used it can take up to 2 weeks to get something that was shipped from Europe.

    Ok, now that it has been established that mailing times can fluctuate greatly, is there any security for me in just filing an early claim with paypal? Will this protect me in any way if the seller actually does go NARU?
