BIN - have you ever listed a BIN and it sold...

BIN - have you ever listed a BIN and it sold so fast that you felt like you could have sold it for much more?

Listed this for BIN for $150, and it sold within minutes. I know i only paid $110 dlvd for it. The auto is kind of faded, and i have the topps heritage auto, so was comfortable lettting it go.

The mays - always liked the design, but wasnt happy with the auto.

My grandfather (an antique dealer) had a saying: If something sells than the price was too cheap.

    Yup.

BUT, I try to make sure I price the stuff at a number that
    will satisfy me.

The good news is you made a quick profit on something you didn't like or need. Doesn't always happen that way.

Could mean you sold too cheap, and it could mean you sold at a proper price too.

no one ever went broken making a profit.

I just recently sold something with the BIN option. I set the price that I wanted and it sold in less than 24 hours. I was happy.

That is the key to winning the EBAY game.

Pricing the stuff at numbers we "are happy with."

The only times I get disgusted with "low prices" are when
I foolishly get lazy, don't research prices, and price stuff
    too low.

Otherwise, as long as I get what I am asking, I am always
    pleased with a sale.

LOL - yea, sometimes i feel that way...
  • I did, I bought a box of SPAuthentic for 175$
    I pulled a Mike Bossy letter "S"
I put a BIN of $400 and within minutes it was gone.

I found out later that it was from a vintage jersey, and at auction may have fetched upwards of $750

I still made off like a bandit, I payed 175 for the box and ended up with a few other cards I kept and was happy with.

This does not answer the OP's question, but I see themes in this thread that remind me of 2 things I never worry about:

    1) What the guy sells a card for after he buys it from me - As long as I got a price I'm happy with, and I didnt miss some rarity by mistake, I hope he triples his money. That makes him a happy buyer, and he'll be back.

    2) What the guy that's trying to sell me a card paid for that card - Whether he paid 1 penny or $1000 has no bearing on whether or not I can buy his card at the price he's asking. All that matters is "can I make a profit on the card at the price he's asking."
  • I have listed stuff with a BIN and it sell less than an hour later. I did it last Wednesday bought 3 action figures at Wal-Mart for 7.00 each. Sold for 44.99 via BIN about 45 minutes after listing. I love turning items like that.
