Question on Game worn hats experts?

I was at a garage sale this morning and missed out on 2 Game Worn MLB Hats while looking through mid-late 80's crap cards. The game worn hats were Kevin Brown's (with Yankees) and Tony Clark's (with Tigers). They were official in nice packaging with a GAI cert etc. The guy bought them for $20 each. Just to throw salt in my wounds--how good of a deal was that?
Thanks

The Standard Catalog of Sports Memorabilia doesn't even list GU caps - so the popularity must be small - of course we're not factoring in high profile players of course.
I got one thing to say tho - I want to find garage sales like that!

As a side note to his caps he auctioned, he also auctioned his game worn glove and game baseballs all with the same info and autos.
Modern players will often use a different hat every game then sign it and off it goes into the overly massproduced modern memorabilia market.
The problem with a game used hat (compared to a bat or uniform), is the same exact hat can be bought in stores by anyone.
I would have liked to have picked up the Yankee game used cap , but would have probably taken both , but wouldn't have lost sleep over it unless it was a Reggie cap or better
That is when the loss of sleep starts to creep in .
I do not think anyone picks that number by accident , That is RUSH !
