Robert Edward Auctions Catalog ... Amazing!

I came home today and saw a package under my door mat. I wondered what it could be. When I opened it, I saw that it was the Robert Edward Auctions catalog that I requested. Has anyone else seen this? The catalog weighs five (5) pounds and consists of almost SEVEN HUNDRED (700) pages. If this book were simply a hobby book I would want a copy. There are many great colors pictures inside of cards (and of types of cards) that I have never seen or knew exited. Even aside from that, the book is free upon request. If you would like a copy, here's the link for the request:

Catalog Request ...

Even with the buyer's premium, I think I might consider bidding on a card or two.

  • I agree! I got this catalog the other day and I know I can and will spend weeks reading the articles that go along with the items up for auction. I am not expecting to bid on anything or if I do I definately dont expect to win any of the items, but yes this catalog is incredible. I am diggin the Mantle milk carton on page 515, just cause of the coolness of it, but there are sooooo many cool items in this catalog/auction.

Just got the catalog last week myself...amazing stuff. I thought about bidding on the Michael Jordan game used bat, but probably won't. I am looking at a few sets however.

They are in the middle of the pack with rates at 17.5%. Rob runs one of the best auction houses in the industry. REA is one of the few auction houses that we have a professional relationship with and I highly recommend them.

  • Thanks for the link, I requested one also. Just about every auction catalog I have received has been very useful in finding info on uncommon issues and items that I've had, but never knew what they were.

If you want to become knowledge about rare and unusual vintage cards, old auction catalogs are the #1 choice for research.

I have over 80 different going back to the late 1980's.

The best thing to do is to write the winning bids in next to the lot # so you can reference them in the future. I also write info on the front covers about cards included within the catalog so I can find the info easier later.
  • I just requested one.

While I was at it I looked over their 2007 Auction. Nice stuff! Looks like I need to put aside $4-$5k for a game used Pete Rose jersey image (My 1 MAJOR wishlist item).
