  • How do you create a diamond from hair? Aren't diamonds mined and take thousands of years to form from coal and whatnot? This sounds fishy, lol.

Nevermind, I read the auction. I still find it lame to associate hair (no matters who's it was) and a diamond. I'd rather have a blanket made from Mantle's hair, then I could cuddle up.....uh nevermind. image

Ok, check out the 6 items this guy has bid on....

Remember this guy is selling celebrity diamonds...

    Used wedding ring: .89

    Cubic Zircomnium Birth Stones: $16

Hair sample from Queen Victoria: $24

    SIMULATED DIAMOND CZ RING: $23

    Simulated Sapphire Ring: $6

Oh yeah, I'm sending certified funds to this guy for $50,000 for a diamond made with Mick's hair......

btw, I thought selling body parts was against eBay rules?

I don't think you could get enough hair from someone to form a simulated diamond. I would think that a diamond of .5 ct would take an enormous amount of hair and I just don't buy it.

Oddly enough, there are companies that do stuff like this, but their clients are usually folks who can't handle the death of their loved-one, not collectors of the macabre.
