Check out the above auction number. The guys wants to pay with an uncomfirmed address. He has a negative last week about using the charge back to screw the seller, but that seller has 2 negs about falsely advertising his items. Would you take this payment? I really want to, I could use the money right now to counter my buying lately.

OR, he may not.
IF you have confidence in your lot, you should do the deal.
Use sig-con on the deal.
I misread the question.
I DO NOT ship to unconfirmed addys.
In this case, you probably should not either.
Until that time, I will continue to reject uncon-addys. It is just not worth the
risk.

Unless I'm missing something, here's how I see it. He's already won, so you tell him no on shipping to the unconfirmed address, and he pays another way. You still get the money, just not today.
<< <i>Never ship to an unconfirmed address, unless you want to give your stuff away for free. >>
That is simply just fear instilling, and loses you more sales than it makes for you.
You can't paint everyone with the same brush, even confirmed addresses can be scams, especially with id theft.
Many buyers don't have "confirmed adresses" that doesn't make them bad.
And with e-bays new policy for power sellers, they obviously agree

Stick your head in the sand, makes me no difference.
He has already bombed another seller on some 71' Topps, in case you cannot see that.
This is not fear instilling, this is good old fashioned common sense. You are being foolish to suggest otherwise, in this case.

Maybe in this case he has to be careful
but your statement encompassed ALL non-confirmed adresses
That is simply not right, and unfair to paint all with the same brush.
I myself have an unconfirmed address, simply because I refuse to give my credit card over the internet to anyone, including Paypal
too many horror stories on lost or stolen bank card stories, almost one every day.
I havemy Paypal linked to a bank account, one that I have almost nothing in, that I use just for e-bay.
When I want money, I just transfer it to Paypal and wait to clear, I always have a positive balance in my Paypal account.
So that means, myself with stellar 100% feedback, both as buyer and seller with an unconfirmed address, you would NEVER ship to
well, I bypass all sales that ship only to "confirmed only"
And I have spent $$$thousands so far.
Chris
I hope it works out, and he is willing to just send you a money order, or get his PP account corrected.
Unless I know the buyer I gotta agree with Stan.

I like to be fairly fair.
It is fairly easy to confirm an addy with PP. It takes 10-seconds.
PP is NOT going to steal anybody's CC#. If a number is compromised,
the CC company will handle it for the consumer.
Folks who do not want to give out their home addy, simply use a
mail-receiving addy for their CC statements AND that addy becomes
the PP confirmed addy.
Nobody here is being crooked for not wanting to get confirmed, BUT
I always feel that many folks who are not confirmed are more risky
than those who are confirmd.
With the PowerSeller exemptions to the protection-rule, the issue
will, obviously, become less important.
I think the OP made the prudent decision.

I too ship to LOTS of uncon-addys, as long as I know the buyer.
Some folks travel and want stuff sent to their hotel. Some folks
want to send a gift. I do what existing good customers request,
but I am not interested in giving stuff away to any of the thousands
of SCAMSTERS that EBAY allows to hunt for suckers.

Great!
See how painless that was for the buyer.
