Please answer, somebody!

When I sell on Ebay, I have one window opened for Ebay and one window opened for Photobucket. Every time I have those two windows opened, my computer slows to a crawl. I mean, when I type in my title for my auction, It takes 2 minutes for the words to show up. Then I can't scroll down. It's not the internet connection. I have DSL. The lights are not lighting up when this happens. It's like Ebay or Photobucket has everything locked up. Now, I do have Internet Explorer 5, so maybe an upgrade is due. The reason I haven't upgraded is because I normally use Mozilla Firefox for everything except Ebay. Firefox doesn't work very well on Ebays selling pages.

Anyway, does anybody else have that problem? I don't have that problem on any other sites. Just when Ebay and Photobucket are up. Would an IE upgrade help?

I just opened up those two sites and have no issues. Not sure what's up.

It has happened to me a few times as well using Firefox. Irritates the hell outta me.

An upgrade with IE would help. Your delay could also be cause by the how large your photobucket albums are.

You're about 4 versions away from the newest IE, so definitely upgrade. Clean out your history and temporary files as well.

Also be sure to upgrade Firefox. They have had a recent issue with memory leaks and cpu usage. There newest release (1.8.13.1) solves most of these issues.

I use IE to open photobucket and Netscape to browse and everytime I do it everything seems to slow down. I think it's a memory issue because I'm pushing the limits of my Ram.

Sounds like it might be a RAM issue. If upgrading your browser does not work then try closing any unecessary programs you might have running in the background. If none of that works then it is probaly a RAM overload.

How much RAM are you running?

i open photobucket in firefox (moves and uploads much much faster) and i use IE for Ebay. works out just fine.

It is definitely a RAM issue.
