Illegal Sacs!

CW states that the Mint produced 2008 P&D Sacs dollars for two months before Congress authorized them to do so.

I wonder if these illegal sacs have a special marker?!

    i wonder what else they have there at the mint?

    at present it doesn't seem like much

    Equador has adopted the US $1 SAC as their standard dollar coin, so if these where struck as foreign contract there would be no issue?

    The minting is still mandated by U.S. laws. If we produce x many, any of those are available for shipping externally. If there is no mandate saying we can produce even 1 then we can't ship them.

    One of these spent some time in Ecuador (just recently returned). The other has not. What I want to know is when do we organize a search party to go down there to look for all those Cheerios Sacs that were put back into circulation.

    how did the Mint have time to produce these Sacs when they can't even produce coins people are paying a premium for?!
