Would this get a ST qualifier?

This is the back of '54 Bowman Early Wynn. I have seen several graded cards that have wax staining on the back but no qualifier. From what I understand graders are pretty easy on these because of how common the wax stains are. Is this too much wax to avoid a qualifier?

    I don't know...really depends on how the rest of the card looks. Not a bad stain, so it really might depend on the grader that day.

    get out your nylons or a dress sock and you can remove a lot of that stain.

    If it was a 48 thru 52 Bowman i'd say no they wouldn't. However, I'm not so sure about it when it comes to 53 and up.

    I have seen many of the early Bowmans with stains and no ST qualifier.

    I agree, the graders expect some wax on these issues. I wouldnt rub the thing and risk wearing down the ink.

    They expect wax on the 48 thru 52 issues as they were sold 1 card to a penny pack.

    I am not sure if 53 and up were.

    And nothing chaps my behind more then buying a 52 Bowman
    that does not have the stain qualifier and when I get the card in hand it has it!

    I fell for that 1x. I urge anyone that buys these cards to ask for a reverse scan
    or at the least ask the seller.

    The ST qualifier was created soley for the wax/gum stains on cards.

    PSA has qualified my 69 Topps WL Mantle and it has the smallest of wax
    on the reverse. I could have (and should have) scraped it off with my fingernail!

    Just because many of these cards has it should not make it a reason for them to not use the qualifier.
    I suppose those graded w/o the stain should go for a premium and that PSA does it because they feel a 2 card drop in the registry is too much?

    I have a 54 b bowman pee wee reese with a similiar stain - maybe a little smaller - it is a psa 8 NQ card.

    Is that big of a stain? I have a couple of '54 Bowman that have smaller wax spots and NQ but I haven't seen with this big of an area.

    That stain is very typical of the Bowmans--I once had a Mantle 1951 Bowman rookie with a stain
    just like that plus another small one,It recieved no qualifier.
