That card is VERY high on my list of must have's. I'm trying to decide between a nice looking 6 or a 7 though. (poor man's budget)
It's amazing how cheap that card goes for in comparison to other star rookies of that time, especially when you compare his career stats to others of that time. Not that I'm trying to talk anyone else into buying Frank Robinson rookies.
I thought rookie 1957 Robinson pictured a white guy who played third base............
Anyway, awesome pickup!! One of the most underated ball players of that generation. Clemente gets much more press, but Robinson was head and shoulders above Roberto.
I bought that card from a guy here in SA back in 1992 - I paid less than 200$ for it. He mailed it to me. When I got it, I realized I didn't look at the back really well and it had a production crease. I told him I wanted to send it back - he said OK - then sent me a check which bounced.
He later went out of business - his name was Gilley - not sure of the spelling - his shop was called Who's on First - it left such a bad feeling, I never tried to buy the card again.
Wow!!!! that is a beauty and has terrific eye appeal. Congrats on the pickup.
Collecting Interests: Ripken, Brooks & Frank Robinson, Old Orioles, Sweet Spot Autos, older Redskins - Riggins, Sonny, Baugh etc and anything that catches my eye.

Very hard card to find centered. I had looked for a couple of years until I found a nicely centered PSA 7 (from Naxcom, of all places). I sold it last Fall for a nice profit and recently found a nicely centered PSA 6 that fits perfectly in my set.
That card is beautiful! My first thought when I saw it was that it had been soaked, it just seems to have an abnormally bright appearance. I hope that is not true, but it is holdered, so I guess it doesn't matter.

VERY SWEET!
I picked this up the day PSA announced half-grades on the hopes of a 7.5...still haven't sent it in.....
