What is this worth, Jesse Orosco's personal All Star trophy and what is the best way to sell it?
Anybody have any idea what this is worth? What would be the best avenue to sell it? It is Jesse Orosco’s personal trophy from the 1983 All Star Game. I just dug it out of my storage shed and obviously, it needs to be cleaned and polished up. I believe at one time it went through high heat or a fire as well as the bottom base is warped from the heat. I believe it is silver although I’m not certain. It is about 9 ½ inches tall and measures almost 9 inches diameter at the top. I picked it up years ago. The inscription reads: “1983 All Star Game (seal of the National League) Presented to JESSE OROSCO Charles S. Feeney (engraved sig) President”
Orosco was only in this one All Star game and struck out the only batter he faced. How do I find out if there are any Jesse Orosco collectors on the registry, and how do I get their emails to send them a message to see if they want to buy it?
Thanks,
Mike

You're a good man, Mike.
Jake
I met him several years ago during spring training in AZ (think he was pitching 1 more season at the time)
I believe he has the record for most appearances ever or something like that - 3 decades
He was a real nice guy when I talked to him. He even got a kick out of me telling how much I hated him in 1986 LOL

I just called an ex-employee friend of mine down in Los Alamitos,CA, Jesse is his cousin. My understanding is the important stuff Jesse kept was World Series related. Especially his game ball, gloves and uniforms from the Mets and Dodgers. I told him about the thread to see if he can get Jesse to respond.

AND
it should NOT be cleaned up, until you speak with those auction houses, sometimes the old weathered articles are worth much more in the state that they are. Check out all the avenues before doing anything
