    I think it would be hilarious if he did in fact shill bid his own auction just enough to NOT sell it. I still cant believe that entire set is in those holders, did you guys see the McGwire? Perfect GEM style 10!

    When did Good Morning America (GMA) start grading cards?

    Diane Sawyer (Head Grader)
    Robin Roberts (VP of Grading)
    Sam Champion (Associate Grader)
    Chris Cuomo (Grader in Training)
    Collecting Interests:
    Ripken, Brooks & Frank Robinson, Old Orioles, Sweet Spot Autos, older Redskins - Riggins, Sonny, Baugh etc and anything that catches my eye. image

    What's really ironic, funny, whatever, is that his entire entire set "sold" for $1,025.00 and this 1985 Topps Tiffany Mark McGwire PSA 10 sold for $1,087.00 here:

    I'd bet the guy owns this grading company, and has taken his cue from the clown who owns Gem (slab and sell your own stuff).

    OK, you decided to start your own graded card factory at your house. You've invested around 5 thou on a sealer, slabs, flips, etc..... Why not bust an entire set of something, grade the whole thing 10s and see what it sells for? Say it takes an average of 1 minute to slab a card- this guy turned a $300 set into a $1000 set in 13 hours. That's over $50 an hour. To top it off, you can use the sale to promote your BS grading company.

    I'm not saying this is exactly what happened, but if it is then it's not that dumb when you think about it.

    I agree with Lee
    300.00 set
    If you own the sonic welder, the slabs will cost you about 50 cents each so about 400 invested there.
    cost: 700
    profit: 300 pre ebay/paypal fees.
    300 is a nice little chunk to help pay for your costs. Do that 10-20x
