T97 Riddle series; there are forty different illustration designs, each appear with 5 riddles. So a complete set has 200 cards, if you collect each design with all 5 riddles. Issued around 1910, 1911 by Perfection - tough to get in top condition because of the thin paper stock.

Thanks Mark, I will have to go through them and see exactly how many I have of each illustration, it seems there are more than 5 of each one. Are they the same stock as the t218 boxers?

    Thinner, as I recall.

Perfection cigarettes were produced in north carolina.

They were very prolific around the teens and 20's for
    these types of cards.

They also did a button or pin set too that is quite desirable in
    top grade.

    Good for you.

Why did I think they were Mecca?

    ..the world may never know
  • MorrellManMorrellMan Posts: 3,241 ✭✭✭
Perhaps it was because of Mecca's claim to perfection?
