Interesting Conversation with my Postmaster

Good day,
There have been many threads about the Postal rates here and I have contributed mentioning what I have been paying for my 6X9 bubble mailers with a couple of raw cards or with 1 or 2 slabbed which is 95% of my mailings. So anyway I get a call today from my local Postmaster (Small town, everybody knows everybody, and I mail 30-50 of these a week, so I am remembered).
Anyway since the new rates went into affect last May I have been paying the following, mailer with 1-Few raw cards .97 cents, mailer with one or two Slabbed $1.14. So he tells me they have been mis-interperting the new regulations for the last 10 months and the actual cost it should have been this entire time is $1.30 or $1.47 because they are classified as Parcel, not large Envelope, as they have been doing for the last 10 months. I can't argue with him, but the increase of .33 on every item I mail sucks. But 10 months at an average of 40 items per week, times 46 weeks times .33 means I saved about $600.00 bucks in shipping and not one single item was ever returned for lack of postage or delivered with postage due.
Thanks Post Office !!!!

ebay i.d. clydecoolidge - Lots of vintage stars and HOFers, raw, condition fully disclosed.
The machines will let you do large envelope and I have shipped several hundred this way without any problem. I think someone else mentioned this as well. I think they are likely to give you that little leeway as they can see it is a machine label.
Clear Skies,

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
I might have gotten the classifications wrong, but the gist of what was happening is there.
I would never think you were lying....................... Stretching the truth or exagerating......... Well that's a different subject.
Any way, seriously you were right and I have just now been upgraded to the real world. It is funny though it took them 10 months to figure this out......

I was riding the gravy train for a few months like you were. I probably saved a couple hundred bucks in shipping before they started charging me correctly. Inefficiency works in our favor sometimes.
This is an easy guide and it's what I've been using.
Please correct me if this isn't right.

"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
They try to slide the bubble mailer into this thing and since it passes(barely, I think it can't be thicker than 1/4 inch) and then they measure that is not longer than 6".
The negative thing is that they do not allow me to add Delivery Confirmation, since it's not 3/4 inch thick
