Anybody going to the Philly Show this weekend?

Was thinking about attending the Philly show this weekend, but have never been to a decent size card show. Would it be worth the drive if I'm looking for primarily McGwire cards from 1997-2001? And do any/some all dealers there take credit cards, or do you have to carry around a mob roll?

    I was gonna start this thread later in the week. I'll be there all day Saturday.

    Do you think it's better to go Friday or Saturday? I was thinking Friday I could get a jump on getting the cards I want, but am wondering if 4 hours is enough time.

    I dont like to feel rushed, and although 4 hours is a decent amount of time, it's a big show and there is a lot to see.

    As far as strategy, some feel that Friday is a day for deals as some dealers want to get some money back in their pocket right away to offset show costs (tables fees, hotel, flights in some cases, etc...), and others feel that waiting until Sunday works better as you may catch some dealers that havent had the best show and need to make some money back before it's over. I just happen to be going on the Saturday because it works into my weekend schedule better.

    Hmmm, thanks for the heads up .

    Sounds like that could be an exciting weekend , I had no plans to do anything , maybe I'll take the old lady and the boy .

    I'd really like to pick up some bats .

    I am still on the fence about attending this upcoming show. Since it moved to Reading, PA it has become a 1.5 hour drive for me.

    It is definitely worth attending though, as there is a ton of stuff there you will not see in person regularly.

    Yeah 1.5 hours for me too according to mapquest. Was set on going, but of course 30 auctions on ebay pop up in the last couple of days that I really want. If I do go Im probably going to go both Friday and Saturday
