Speaking of Yount Rookies, has anybody noticed this guy (cbailey758) bought the last 4 PSA 9's that have hit ebay? A couple of G's worth of Yount Rookies.
That seems very strange unless he's investing in them and thinks they're undervalued. Do you think he could be cracking & resealing them and inserting lower graded cards? Can't tell from the pitcure whether the holder appears to be tampered with....
The tilt is affecting the centering on the bottom such that it's really close to the minimum standard for 9:
[Centering must be approximately 60/40 to 65/35 or better]
The scan could be a bit larger - but this card doesn't appear to have many flaws that plague the 75T - like fisheyes and light ink e.g.
So, in the end - the assigned grade of 9 was "subjectively" determined - trumping the tilt and invoking the concept:
[The key point to remember is that the graders reserve the right, based on the strength or weakness of the eye-appeal, to make a judgment call on the grade of a particular card]

I've actually seen him do this with other cards (buying multiple examples that is). I always thought he was doing it just to see which ones were best and then try to get a bump.
Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he's trying the crack & resub game. The two top guys on the Yount Basic Set seem to have (very) deep pockets when it comes to buying up Yount 10's they need. There are no Yount rookies graded 10 yet, so the first one out there could see a huge return. If the guy has the money to try for the 10, then I wish him the best. I know my Younts get cheaper once they both get their 10's.

I hope you are not insinuating that Stump is doing that.
The above poster mentioned someone else.
So I am not sure what auction you are looking at.

This is just my take.
