OK...I am being a little dramatic. My love has always been Bowman football. I havn't bought a baseball card in a VERY long time....but I saw this beauty, and had to have it. When I was a kid in the 70's every kid pretended to be Hank Aaron as we played. To every kid who dreamed of hitting a home run...who else would we pretend to be than Hank? He was THE home run King. To us, Hank was larger than life....there was Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Hank..the true legends to us kids.

A truly beautiful card...I have been like a kid waiting for Christmas waiting for Hank to come in the mail.

I highly recommend everyone spice up their collection with something a little different than what they normally buy.

Thanks to Paul AKA Perk Dog for inspiring me delve into a little baseball.

I don't know much about baseball...and I hope I didn't overpay for this...but I am glad to add Hank to my collection.

That's a beautiful card. I love the 55s and 56s. You paid right in the ballpark, for it. The last 5 SCG 84's sold for an average of $287, the last 5 PSA 7s sold for an average of $308.
An 8 in this card will run you about $900.

Here is my slightly stained and creased copy of the same card. Obviously I would perfer your's but this will do for now.

Ryan, did I sway you towards baseball when you checked out some of the 60's that I had??? easy to be tempted, your love of the 40's and 50's football made me go out and start checking....haven't pulled the trigger yet on any of them but I'm now looking

Ryan that is a gorgeous card! Nice choice for a change of pace, I needed to do it myself as you saw with my Snider card. Vintage Baseball is alot of fun even just to stray once and awhile to get something different! I dont need to as much since I was already heavy into Vintage baseball, as you know I jumped into football after seeing your gems and since then the Snider was pretty much the only time I have looked back since!
