Well this is actually in PSA hands 62+ days as I dropped it off at the Chicago show before thanksgiving. Its a bulk order of over 200 cards. Any bets on when it will pop. My subs this size usually take 2 calendar months. So is it any day now?? or longer?? Makes we think twice about sending in my large ticket sub that I have waiting. I was able to get a slight discount on the ticket sub however. So its probably off by the weekend anyway.

They have been behind, so don't get your hopes up too much that it will pop before 45...With the bulk, seems you have to take the longer waits with the cheaper price lately...

if it is a bulk rate and not a special from Dec, you should get vouchers if it isn't done. I think they get most of these in the 45 days since they doen;t want to give away any gradings. the specials , that is another story and anything from 1/1/08 , the sky is the limit

I got a bulk rate once on my own. I had 690+ cards. They split it into two orders. 14 days and 17 days respectively. I did a group sub last spring and it was the longest I've ever waited. 90 days exactly before I had them at my doorstep. Probably 80 days on the grading floor.

well this was a quasi group sub. we got a discounted rate over the special. i sent mine in on its own submission at 220 cards. so i dont know how they compare that to what you did on your own.

I think folks should accept 3-4 months as the standard now when doing a bulk submission.

i dont mind waiting, but then again they have had my money since 12/5. so then why cant they wait to charge the cc or cash the check until they start grading the order then.

A message I received on a submission they received on 12/27/07 and logged in on 1/23/08 was, "we are swamped, its going to be awhile"

The part that really upsets me is that I called back in mid-January to ask if they could hold my submission until February 1 so it could be graded with the new half grade standards. PSA told me they could not hold my submission because it was already past the grading stage. Three weeks later I have no grades. Even worse is that I have another submission that was shipped by PSA on Jan 25. The status still shows that it is in PSA's local post office.

I don't think it is right that PSA is this far behind. They are really concerned about helping out the big guys (Davilillo) with regrades than getting our stuff done on a correct timetable. I have an invoice that was due on Friday and I really need my stuff graded to complete a sale that is pretty important to me.

My sub was logged in on 11/30, so I will most likely get mine two days after MBOTHNER

. And I know this has been beaten to death, but the business model for PSA continues to be beyond puzzling. My sub, and others, will be eyed for full grade while other subs graded the same day will get the .5 eye. Perhaps the graders wear different hats as to whether they are peeping full grade cards or half grade cards, at least until they clear the backlog. Really, when they made the decision to convert to half-grades, why wouldn't they just start it, rather than now have their shelves filled with submissions of cards falling into both protocols? That's silly.

And I sent my submission on a form that specifically had the time guarantee. That will be interesting if they go past Feb. 8. Oh well, the choice is always mine, I guess.

FYI, I was told by PSA that any card graded on Feb 1st or later would be graded on the .5 scale, regardless of when it was received. The graders will no longer be grading on the full point system. Now its possible that your cards have already been graded and are backed up at the encapsulation and database input station.

I think it would be great if PSA could make it where you could either see what stage of the process your cards are at. Either on the website, or at worst make it so the customer service folks can punch it up and tell you EXACTLY where your cards are sitting.

if they cant show the grades that all ready have a cert number on a page with the status of the submission number then why cant they grade them on the new scale. this is going on the your assumption that all of our orders are held up post grading stage. because if they are held up at that stage they are all graded with cert numbers. therefore we should be able to see the grades. but it seems that they just release the grades prior to shipping.

I think entering the new grades/cert#s into the PSA database and linking the cert # with the cards spec. number is the final step before shipping. By that time, they are already slabbed and ready to go.

Would be nice if they could take advantage of their new system by showing you exactly where your cards are in the grading process. No doubt PSA tracks each order through the various stages, why not make it public?

Would save much time for the CS reps who wouldn't need to field as many calls from people trying to find out why there order has taken 634 days...They seem to be in the midst of a mini-overhaul with the .5 change, new website format, order history, etc. Maybe that's something in the works?

I called customer service on Friday which was business day 49 for my submission. That evening my submission kind of popped. Out of 220 cards, only about 75% was graded. It looks like they are not finished grading the cards but are showing the grades for what they have done. I have not seen anything like this before but so much is changing at PSA so I do not know what this is about. Many of the ungraded cards are new specs so maybe that is why. I will call customer service again on Monday to find out.

I am able to get my partial results too. The two cards ungraded so far are the first graded from the particular set so I guess I must wait til they are added. I am happy I am able to see the rest of the grades while I wait. Better than waiting for the whole sub. to pop.

poppage at last. grades finally popped on Friday. Overall i am happy, but there is about a 10% "mechnical" error rate. what was interesting was i was able to see a report while the sub was paritially done. however, about 5-6 of them changed grades that i noticed to a lower grade. not sure if any bumped. however i did have one crack and resub that went from a 5 to either a 9 or 10!!

i guess they would say that they were too far along with my sub when the switched over to the 0.5 scale.

I find it very hard to believe that they spent more than an hour grading the sub. I would find it even harder to believe that theystarted it, went over to another sub, then started up again. Now I can believe that of the cards that weren't PSA 9 or better, and therefore not .5 eligible, that maybe none met the "high end for the grade" criteria. Your < PSA 9 count is pretty low, but that's a good thing!

So that may be the case with your submission. I've got a 154 card submission that isn't done yet, logged 12/21. I'm curious to see what the .5 rate will be on that submission. SOmeone started a thread a while back asking if anyone had stuff logged in Nov/Dec that was graded after 2/1 and if they had .5 grades at all. I'll have to do some research of my own and see what I find.

FYI-

For anyone interested, I did some "research" and found some submissions that were received by PSA prior to the 2/1 cutover that were graded after the 2/1 cutover and DID receive .5 grades on the submission.

So it appears anyone with a sub there, regardless of when it was received, should get the .5 treatment if the cards warrant it.

Back in October and November I sent in several bulk orders of 100 or more and got them back in less than two weeks. Now I have several bulk orders that were entered December and still haven't popped. The consistency of getting orders done is getting worse and worse from hearing all you guys. I wonder about the grading!!! I also cracked a PSA 6 and resubmitted awhile back and got a PSA 9 back. Very hard to believe that they can be that off, a full three grades. I think there bussiness side needs some work and that only comes down to one person and that is Joe Orlando himself needs to do something about it.

Just vening a little. I hate the waiting and there Customer Support is just as lost as we are when you call. What's up with that??

the dot matrix stadium club was what was cracked in this sub. in another sub i sent in a 95 SP championship die cut insert that was first graded a 5, then cracked and came back a 10. maybe small surface wrinkles get pressed out in the slabbing process.

On Feb. 10 I saw all my grades except for two that were still waiting. As of today, this sub still has not popped. Unreal. The two other cards are just common cards.
