Ecuadorian pocket piece.

My sister-in-law just returned from Ecuador carrying with her a few Sacs. They use the Sac as their dollar coin and the Lincoln as their cent. I had never seen a well worn Sac up until today. These are truely "world coins". They look good in XF.

    That's pretty cool - did she recall if there were a lot of wheat cents still circulating there?

    She never mentioned the cents. And, I did not think to ask if she would bring any of those back. My brother-in-law is still there for another couple of weeks I think. I may ask him to bring back a roll of cents just to take a look through them.

    that's so cool, I wonder if one day coin cataloges will add a little caption about where the Sacs also circulated

    Worn Ecuadoran Sacs achieve a coolness that unworn domestic models sorely lack....

    Wonder if the ill-conceived Presidential Dollars will make any inroads there. Ironic to see a Monroe Dollar embraced in Ecuador....?

    THose are pretty cool. A buddy of mine just brought me back a vf sackie from Ecuador, I've been using it as a pocket piece ever since. It will be cool when they start using presidential dollars.

    you should definitely post this on the lite side, to see how attractive these coins are when they actually hit circ!
