Clemens card values nowadays?

I haven't been paying attention lately. Have Clemens' cards (especially the rookie) gone down in value since the Mitchell report hit? Have people been dumping?

Kudos to the buyer who gave $300 for a copy after the report. I'm going to guess it was holiday related.

Part of me is surprised that they're still hitting the $200 mark.

I wonder how far they'll drop. Bonds cards are doing the same (obviously).

I need PSA 10 Bonds and Clemens rookies for my CYA and MVP sets.... I could do $30 a pop.

Maybe I'll be able to afford a 1984 Fleer Update Clemens/Puckett someday in PSA 8 after all. I hope so as those (and the 1982 Topps Traded Ripken) are the three most expensive 80s singles. How much does that Clemens/Puckett typically go in 8?

The Puckett usually sells for some where in the $40 range. The last two Pucketts in PSA 8 sold for over $60, I don't know what that's about.

The last Clemens to sell in PSA 8 went for about $105. It's pre-Mitchell Report price was between $200 and $250.

So I guess now there's no excuse to settle for anything less than an 8.

After all, I always figured PSA 8 was the "par" grade for 1980s singles, just like PSA 7 was "par" for 1970s.

I'm not going to make an offer, but what do you think a 1984 Fleer Update Roger Clemens BGS 10 would go for? Honesty, I can't see it going for more than $1,000.00; well short of the $5,499.99 BIN.

About a month after the Mitchell Report I could have gotten an '85 Donruss PSA 10 for $150 BIN. Nobody was even interested in the card when I looked at the page counter. At the time that was way over %50 off SMR value.
