2008 Super Bowl "Champion" Patriots.

I've often wondered what happened to the shirts and hats for the losing team.

Nicaraguan kids have them...

...but you can have your own too!

Glad to see the shirts are being put to good use.
  • I love this quote, "It's cool to own if you're a die hard Pats fan."

Why?! So you can remember the sting of pain or something?

I remember seeing a Chicago Cubs supercollector (Beckett used to do articles about various "supercollectors" in the late 90s) who had a 1984 Cubs World Series pennant, which he explained was unique as obivously the Cubs didn't make the World Series. Aren't these kind of things called "phantom" memorbilia (made in anticipation of the event but didn't occur, such as World Series tickets for a team that didn't win the pennant?)?

Gotta love it. Dirt-poor kids in Nicaragua get 'em for free, but somebody on eBay is willing to pay (at the moment) $73 for one.

That's cool that they get donated.

The one on ebay is up to 73 bucks? That seems a bit too high for me.

Phantom items usually surface - first being high and then settling down. Wow - 73 bucks!

Funny stuff, I actually read an article in the Boston Herald today about that. The article said this merchandise was illegal to sell in the US.

Well hope the kids are enjoying them... Oh what coulda been! image
