It's Not Often A Card On Ebay Goes > $10K, But Here's One...

It's not too often a [non-Mantle] card on ebay goes for over $10,000.00, but here's one:

2007 U.D. Goudey Sports Royalty Auto Tiger Woods PSA 10

It's currently at $12,550.00 with almost three (3) days to go. Any guesses as to where this one ends up? I would not be surprised if it goes over $20,000.00. Card has great eye appeal, but I think that is way too much coin. I'd settle for a 2001 SP Authentic, which would run me, oh, $2000.00+.

P.S. Does anyone else see a VERY, VERY, VERY slight tilt to the right?

That's a beauty of a card and the sig is great - yes - after you mentioned it - perhaps a very, very slight tilt.

That amount for an auto'ed card is incredible! I would never tell anyone how to spend their hard earned money.

But for me? I could do some serious damage with that kind of money - one can dream I guess.

    Thanx for sharing.

  • I remember a story about this card. Wasn't there a big to do over the fact that it looked like he spelled his name wrong on one of these cards?

That "controversy/error" is such a load of crap. I have had Tiger sign 5 things for me at tournaments in the past and his signature always looks like that. He's actually not very consistent with his signature. If my scanner were working I would show you all the different examples. My apologies.

Certainly a great card, but I think most of us can come up with quite a collection of stuff we would buy over that.
  • It amazes how easily a fool will part with his money! $12,000 for new "fad card" ! Nuts !!

Yeah, is it really THAT hard to get Tiger's autograph? Why not just hire a hooker with a mini-skirt and low-cut blouse to go up to him and ask for a sig? $200, $300 tops. image

That would work for my signature as well.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
