Just added this ugly Kevin McHale Autograph for my NBA's 50 Greatest Collection :-) What do you thin

Hey guys, just added this ugly looking McHale auto for my set, what do you think about it? Real? Fake? Ugly?
I don't usualy do non-certified autos, but I have no choice with McHale, he just dosen't sign for any companies. Does anybody know if he's going to sign anytime in the near future?

<< <i>Don't have any info for you about his future signings, but if that auto is legit, he has a nice sig, alot better than most of todays goofs. >>
Yeah, I know, he has a nice signature, I wasen't talking about the sig, just the card, lol. Do you know how much it would cost to have this bay boy authenticate by PSA? And do you even think its worth it?
Giovanni
PS, you're right, that card is ugly!!
<< <i>Don't have a clue buddy, I think I have heard for more common players, the fee is like 20 bucks, I could be wrong. If his auto is as rare as you say and he doesn't sign for card companies, then I would get it authenticated.
PS, you're right, that card is ugly!!
Well, yeah, he dosen't have a single certified autographed card with any of the card companies. I wouldn't say rare, but is surely dosen't have a certified auto yet, I would say its only a matter of time before he signs, but haven't heard anything saying that he's signing soon.
I guess $20 sounds pretty good, maybe one of these days(AKA next year LOL).
Giovanni
Edited to say: LOL, maybe it would look good in a PSA holder???

<< <i>Everything about Kevin McHale is ugly. Same for Robert Parish, Larry Bird, and Dennis Johnson. The Celtics were the All-Ugly team of the '80s.

Lets toss Bill Walton in as well, he is U-G-L-Y and he ain't got no alibi, he's fugly ooh ooh he's fugly
Ripken, Brooks & Frank Robinson, Old Orioles, Sweet Spot Autos, older Redskins - Riggins, Sonny, Baugh etc and anything that catches my eye.

<< <i>He has auto cards listed on the checklist for 06-07 UD Chronology, but I have never seen one. >>
I hate when they do that! They make up a checklist and then don't come out with that player. Thats fine if they would correct it later. I think i've seen autographed cards of McHale listed in the Beckett online price guide, but I really don't think one exists.
If one did exist, I think we would have seen it by now. I hope he's not as hard headed as Charles Barkley!

LOL, thats mean!
Let Dennis Johnson rest in peace
You can make fun of the rest

I know its not a card, but here is an example of a Kevin McHale signed baseball that is authenticated by PSA/DNA, it should at least give a general idea of what his sig looks like.
Take care,
Mike

Neat item Mike!
To bad this guy is hard headed and won't sign a card for any of the companies, or yet anyways, lol.
Thanks for the comparison, but i'm starting to get worried its not him that signed my card
Giovanni
It's not my item, but it is cool. I hope yours turns out good for you.
Mike
They look similar but who knows. Though the K on your card looks very iffy compared to the other authenticated issues I have seen.

Yeah, I definetly like your card better
I love that set, very nice looking cards!
Only one way to find out I guess, but when I get around to it, and probably by then he would sign for a company, and my card will be worthless

That is the same reason why I have not gotten around to sending my card in. If Mchale ever has a certifed issue hit the market the price will probably stay low enough where the investment in a grading fee would ultimately not be worth it. However I could also see his cards going for ~$50, similar to Billy Cunningham who has a few certified issues, but nothing super plentiful.

Nice card!
I think he's one of those guy who signs different everytime. I say that because, so far, all 3 of the signatures look different, so he's probably not to consistant with is sig.

I dont he gets much practice
<< <i>McHale was a great in-person signer back in his days playing with the Celtics. He had a few variations including a "K McHale" version when rushed, but he ALWAYS signed. I have probably 15-20 different cards and pics signed in-person; great guy.... >>
Thanks for the info!
Yeah, i've heard is a very nice guy, but why in the World won't he sign for the card companies?
