  Mr. Show was the pitcher who gave up hit 4192 to Pete Rose October 1985. I remember because I was stationed on the USS Roanoke in 1985 out of Long Beach and I had 24 hour duty that day, so I went to the flightdeck with my trusty boombox and listened to the game. The only thing about that day that was not cool was I didn't get to hear Marty and Joe call the game.

  unfortunately, Show was a troubled guy and eventually committed suicide a few years back

  I think he died from a heart attack after doing a speedball at a rehab place, either way he died way too young and had a troubled end
