Found a whole roll of these with a different state on each penny (50 coins)50 states...1990 unc....

    Some telemarketers used to market these things and no doubt charged a fortune for a 50-state set. (And, no, they did NOT do 56 incl. the territories!) They're worth face. In fact, to me they're worthless, because I don't want to spend one because someone might find it and call me and ask a bunch of questions about it. So my advice on these is to wait until melting cents is legalized again, and then melt them.

    An authorized PCGS dealer, and a contributor to the Red Book.

    Melting them is illegal. Smashing them into something unrecognizable with a hammer is not.

    Hey, I found one just like it with NY stamped on it while I was searching my 10000 Cent Project pennies. I thought it was neat and put it next to the one I found as a kid that had Kennedy's profile stamped in it... I did not realize I should have just thrown it away.

    Agreed, I would have no problem buying a roll of those at face value. I think they are sort of neat.

    Most clerck don't even want pennies in there till anymore just throw them in the dish on the counter.
