CANADA New Brunswick - need help ID'ing

She's seen better days, but still looks nice. All I can tell is the 18 and the last digit looks like a 4. The edge is reeded, and the size is precisely that of a US Dime. Can someone provide CVs for various conditions? Should I clean this coin to try and get a clear date, or just leave her as is! It's definitely a Silver piece - I need help figuring whether it is a 5, 10, or 20-cent. Many thanks!

    It is a ten center (dime). 1864 in Good 4 is valued at C$50, yours is Fair so around C$10-$15. Soak it in acetone to help remove the crusty stuff.
