needed stocking stuffers for my 7 year old

Hello I am not a huge collector of anything other than U.S. but my 7 year old is getting into the coins with me to the point he loves HSN type coin shows . He also has a large collection of elephants . Now i don't know what country they are from but I have seen coins with elephants on them and since he has asked me if there are any coins with them on it I would love to find some for him for stocking stuffers this year . So if anyone has anything of this nature please let me know

    Well, now. This helps me figure out what sort of form the promised "freebies" will take in your package with that Merc set you bought, now, won't it? image

    Not so sure I have any heffalump coins, but we shall see. I sold a cool little 1815 Ceylon 1-stiver a while back that had George III on the front and an elephant on the back. It was only like a $3 coin. Aethelred got it. Dunno if I have anything else, but I'll bet 7-year-olds would like Mardi Gras doubloons, especially if I can find some of the wild-colored ones, eh?

    If you type in Elephant in the search in the above page, it will give you a few ideas.

    Looks like a few countries have some elephant coins: Somalia, Liberia, Belgian Congo, Eritrea, & Algeria come up in the search.
    May help the forum members narrow down their search too image

    He is just a very very advanced child blows my mind the school already want him to skip a grade and collecting is his thing very neat and to the point (wonder where he gets that from ) but i wanted to give him a little gift that he would keep forever even when I am long gone .

    If I were you, LordM, after your ebay experience recently, I'd think twice about giving away cheap $3 coins lol

    Re. Joel Anderson (in oldshep's link): he's one of the best. I did business with him way back in the early 1980s, when I was a high school student. He's always sold interesting (yet affordable) material.

    Another inexpensive suggestion may be the Ocean Series Collection from the Royal Australian Mint.
    You could purchase that series at Downies.com (North America).
