I have no guts.

I have a '60 Mantle in a GAI 8 holder that I really want to crack and send in, but I don't have the guts to do it. I'll lose my shirt if it comes back a 7.

You can either send it in, pay the $30.00 for the crossover service with a minimum grade of 8 or be a man and crack it!

    Manhood > $30.00

    You make the call image

You only lose your shirt if you paid PSA 8 price for it....................but if you paid GAI 8 price for it then you won't make out so bad.

I have had some success with GAI crossovers but only by cracking out. Tried the crossover service and was killed. Cracked out and got the right grades. Examples

T205 Cobb GAI 2.5 to PSA 2 Crossover service regraded by SGC to a 3
    1962 Eddie Mathews GAI 8 to a PSA 8
    1962 Bill Mazeroski GAI 8.5 to a PSA 8
Currently completing the following registry sets: Cardinal HOF's, 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, Bill Mazeroski Master & Basic Sets, Roberto Clemente Master & Basic Sets, Willie Stargell Master & Basic Sets and Terry Bradshaw Basic Set

Be prepared for it to possibly come back evidence of trimming, cracked or not cracked.

    Good for you.

True, they have graded some of those in their lifetime. Make sure it measures before sending.
