Will PCGS ever have a Quarterly Special that is a World Coin?

Any thoughts? It seems World Coin collectors are being totally ignored in this respect.

Hard to say without knowing their business model. If they treat World coins as a separate line of business, I would assume they will have specials as soons as there's enough revenue from World Coin submissions to cover the cost and still make profit...

Hopefully, with increased number of submissions due to eBay rule changes, there will be 2 quarterly specials - one for a U.S. coin and one for a World coin.

It really would not hurt to offer members a choice between a World Coin quarterly and a US Coin quarterly special.

What do you think Coinking? Any chance of considering something like this?

    I kinda like the idea...image

considering their really long turnaround times on world stuff now, imagine how much longer it would get with a whole lot of new submissions due to a quarterly special!

I asked that same question last week via a post to the Q&A Forum.
There has been no response. And honestly, I'm not expecting one.

You would hope but unfortunately past history as far as the importance of world coins vs U.S. coins has been dismal. One can hope though.

I wonder if you can submit a French-Indo-China coin for the "seated" special? image

  • Color me skeptical on this one ...

I'll believe it when I see it has been officially announced. Even then, with my luck they will do everything but what I want/need at the time I am prepping a submission.

    2K,

What ebay rule changes are you talking about? And what is the coin in your profile pic? I've seen it before but can not attribute it out of memory...
