Cubs season tix for $648

In 1984. Found this old season ticket holder order form. What cracks me up is the most expensive single day ticket was $8, $3 for the bleachers. I wonder if its too late to send in the business reply card?

I worked for the Cubs for a number of years and 1984 was one of them. Toiletry kits were nothing more than a white canvas mens toiletry bag with the Cubs and the sponsors logo "tastefully" applied to the bag. There night have been a few coupons for shave cream or something in it.

Dang I will have to look as I think I still have one aroun somewhere. Never used it because it was ugly but cant explain why I kept it.

I remember well those season ticket brochures. Believe it or not we could not give them away as no one really came to the ballpark anymore, A few months into the season that all changed for the next 20 some odd years!!!!
I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

You would be surprised how big of a deal floppy hat day was!! People would kill us if we ran out. It was always announced the 1st 10,000 would get a (fill in the giveaway!). People would come in at game time and be totally pissed they didnt get their giveaway!! Flopy hat day was dreaded by all the Frain ushers and used to complain to us all the time.

A Frain user was a usher who worked for Andy Frain services. If you attended any event in Chicago you would know them by their blue and yellow uniforms. The pretty much worked every venue in town and each of them wore a hat that said "Andy Frain" on them. They are or were a Chicago institution. I assume they are still in business but I know the Cubs went in house with their usher services about 1986 or so they are no longer at Wrigley.
