See what GU cards do to kids.....

My 5 year old used to color us pics and give them to us. NOW he cuts them up and tells me to choose one. I told him I liked the whole pic as I could tell what it was. These were all cut up. He then proceeded to grab a few and show me each on, on one side had something recognizable ie. a letter or smiley face. He cut them in those shapes intentionally!! I thought he just cut them up. He has been doing this for a few days and I decided to take a pic and share.

No more GU cards for him. LOL

Well, if you go in his room and find out he has started shredding up his shirts you know you have a serious problem.

Im sure you have some jerseys. I would put a lock on your closet now!

I'm no artist (or even a dad, as far as I know), but that seems like a fairly sophisticated and creative thing for a child to do. I think you should encourage the behavior, as you might have a true artist on your hands...
  • We do encourage it. I also thought it was creative and picked 4, as that was the limit he said. We buy him craft kits to paint/assemble and he does alot of drawing. Since his brain is a sponge right now we load him up on so much info. He has such a greay memory.

Oh yeah, Jerseys. Im planning on buying one soon. But my GU bats---stay away !! lol

Your 5 year old's cuts look better than a lot of Upper Deck cut autos I've seen...
